Teen Pregnancy

She can't believe that’s her
she doesn’t know what to do 

Giving birth at a tender age was not her intention 
How did this happen to her is still a confusion

It happened at the age of sixteen
she was scared to look up at that screen

Knowing there was a little heart beat
She would soon get kicked out to the street

Packing her bag and leaving for school
six months pregnant she feels like a fool

Days and weeks past

Her dreams of being a normal girl didn’t last 

That made her even worse

Then she decided to go to the nurse

After she checked up

The doctor gave her a free cup

That kind of made her feel better

She went to school and wrote a depressing letter

 Coming back from school was hard

Then she fill down in the back yard

Her mom didn’t want her anymore

She swear to god she will start a war
she’s about to go and live in the street

She will not have anything to eat even a piece of meat

The Oppressed

i posted this on time through my iphone and i realized it came out in a weird format... so im reposting it. once again i submitted it on time so im only reposting so it can look proper.



This is a poem dedicated to the oppressed, 
A poem that recognizes the countries in distress. 


First up we have Egypt with the Mubarak situation,  
A country that rose up as a single united nation. 


A revolution that began on a social networking site,  
Was turned into a global sensation overnight.


After a long hard battle the people finally won,  
Bye bye Mubarak, you dictating scum. 


You thought Egypt was bad wait till u hear About Palestine,
A nation being overruled by bullets and mines. 


The people are separated, murdered and beaten,  
Even forced to turn over the food they have not yet eaten. 


We move on to Syria, whose government is far too corrupt, 
A tension built in the people that will very soon erupt. 


Hopefully their president is taken away for good,  
An evil man he is, deserving of the foot. 


Our hearts feel for the oppressed, as they are fellow human beings. 
Empathy we should show, through out hearts and through our dreams. 


I'd like to finish with a question that you should think about In your coming years, 
What can you do to stop the bloodshed as well as the tears?

"It Hurts"

                                                                        

Oh the cold,

How it bites and bites.

Through my clothes,

Through my shoes,

Through my skin,

And through my soul.

It hurts, it does.

I want to beg, and I want to plead.

For I need a cure,

A cure to this cold.

I need clothes,

I need shoes,

I need food,

I need home,

And I need someone.

This will keep me warm.

What shall I do?

For people see me here,

But do nothing.

They do not stop and give me clothes,

Or shoes,

Or food,

Or home,

Or themselves.

They do not help.

And the cold, it hurts.

Us, the homeless

We are cold, hungry, and alone.

nothing to change into when it gets cold,

So the cold air rips our skin and freezes our bone.

We have no new food, it’s all old with mold.

Seasons pass and it is the same,

we have no family or friends,

our life is boring and lame.

Our clothes are old, not new trends

“Boom boom”  your hear gun shots at night,

Sleeping in an alley near  an apartment or home

Hearing things that awake you with a fright.

You wish for nothing but a home, not London, Paris, or even Rome.

All we want is a place to protect us from harm,

because we are as innocent as young kids.

We want to sleep well at night without alarm

We want a simple meal, not caviar, steaks, or squids.

Help us to have a place to call our own,

give us shelter and a roof over our heads,

We need your help with money or even a loan

to get us warms clothes and beds.

Taken (Voice Poem)

A burst of Lemon-y bitter-sweet flavor spreads across my tongue
Putting one by one in my mouth walking along the road
Happiness swells my heart as my phone rung
Chatting to my other half I feel as if I've been lifted of a load

Minding the street to look for cars
I am totally enraptured by the conversation
Surrounded by an abyss of darkness-no stars
The cool breeze of this breath-taking location

The sound of footsteps deafen my ears
A dark figure mirroring my every move
A large frightening man confirms my fears
My innocence, why should I prove?

Stumbling over my very own tears
Arms flailing, running wild like game from a bear
My chest pounds, my vision unclear
What did I do, I am unaware?

I try to fight back, but I fail to prevail
I cry for help, no one comes, where can they be?
Eyes black with hatred, a death sentence without bail.
I'm gone, for what? You tell me!

voice poem : poverty 

why do we complain about the unfairness of life ?

we have been stroked by it's handle,

not felt it's sharp knife .

our hearts moan because we do not have the latest iphone !

but have we stopped to see the cries of those without home ?

they come to our doors desperate for help .

but all we do is dismiss them with a rude yelp .

dont be harsh to the orphan and the needy .

but some of us do not heed this and whip them with a steel rod .

through the whole world we cannot feed .

we should not refrain from doing a good deed .

and prevent from drowning in a pool of greed .

we should help those who need .

and be a friend in need is a friend indeed  ! 

they are poor , 

they dont have anything to eat .

while the rich are enjoying tea with biscuits and sweets .

they only need your help ,

not your whole life to give .

they deserve to be living in homes . 

not desperate for shelter and groan !

We are the ones with have no opinion,

But we have all the guns in the world,

They say we cannot see our families,

But we can kill this little girl,

How did we get here?

We were promised a future that would shine bright,

Is there something that we missed?

Because all we do is fight,

With weapons bigger than us,

We can to shoot down the school bus,

As our morals disappear,

Our nightmares reappear,

They say there is no guarantee in this world,

I can guarantee this is all I will ever know,

We will one day grow old,

And it will still be the worst story never told,

We are just children,

But we are also soldiers,

This is not what we were born to do,

Save us and our country too.

Somalia Voice Poem

When people think of Somalia they usually think of black
Black skin, black oil, but what black really means is people who are attacked
Oppression, violence, famine, disease, sadly these are all facts
And all these things are what my country, Somalia, attracts

I want to ask the world a question, I want to ask for protection
From these pirates who bring oppression, killing and showing a bad impression
We don't have a stable government, our country is not going in a certain direction
There is more I must mention: Our condition is worse than it was in The Great Depression

We are struggling to survive and it is really tough
Living life here is pretty rough
The water and food here is not enough
We are like prisoners, stuck here with handcuffs

UAE is giving 1 million dollar cash prizes to winners of horse races
They have extra money, I wish we could switch places
They can donate some, that will at least cover our minimum wages
But we are here with no money, dealing with the discrasist racists

You cannot imagine what world I am living in
No one is aware, they are just making jokes about my skin
We cannot find food, we have to look in trash bins
I want the world to know, and if you have a heart, then make the right decision

Would You...?

Have you ever wondered…
Why my eyes are so sad?
Why my body is so thin like glass?
Have you ever seen me smile?
Laugh?
Or even shed a tear?
A growl, a few shown ribs,
My tummy is hungry.

I cry myself to sleep,
Day in and day out,
Wondering when my next meal will come…if…it will come…

There is no food,
The water is unsafe,
Everywhere around me there is pain.

Do you even care?
About the 13,000 children that die every day?
What if I’m next?
Would you even blink?

I am so hungry I can eat the whole world,
People and all,
Except I would leave some… the ones that care,

They sponsored a few,
I actually knew a person who got fed daily,
God why didn’t you bless me?

If I said ‘please’ would you give?
If I begged would you listen?
If I died
Would you even care?

Voice Poem: Child Abuse

Getting beaten up every day is no fun

from time to time I wish I was done

lecturing, demanding, their voices so sharp

ringing through my ears that it's never enough

taunting, screaming, I wish they'd just stop

I've never deserved this, what had this become?

Bruises divulge me, they vouch for what I've been through

parents are someone you should lean to

I still dream of having that one perfect life

love hasn't done me any good, if I can't get it right

5 children a day die from this act

I've been so lucky, but I still see the facts

child abuse is more than bruises and broken bones

it's the emotional hand that leave the long lasting scars

It is true that the abused will grow up to do the same

who else will continue their shameful reign?

troubled, worthless damaged for life

all I hope, wish, what I really  long for

Is the hug, the sweet kiss

That can put a stop to this never ending hit

Voice Poem - Animal Cruelty

Crying, hurt on my side.
I knew that i was going to die,
because of all the pain I was in
that was when I thought it was the end

Footsteps walking towards me.
I knew it was him even though I couldn't see,
for his boots always stomped on the ground
thats how we all knew when he was around.

Yelling, screaming things I could never understand,
then hitting slapping me with his hands.
Kicking me on the side with his hard boots
Thank goodness he left before he thought to shoot.

This how my life is day in, day out.
I wish my chain wasn't metal so I could run and shout.
In my dreams I would dash away,
from my abuser where I now lay.

Please send help or even come yourself
because I am a second away from killing my self.
I wish i could speak your language so I could tell you
that I will soon be dirt underneath his shoe.

Voice Poem

He took her life,

Forced with no choice.

She cries and cries and wonders why.

Her mother laying on the rocky ground bleeding

Don't leave me, don't go, why did you take her?

This happens everyday, hundreds of souls taken with no meaning 

This once happened to their society, millions died with no choice

Why would you do that if you went through it too?

Although we suffer far more than you ever once did

There is no comparison to what is happening now and what had happened before

The little girl sniffles, her teardrops soak her thin t-shirt

The soldier proudly looks down at her mother

Smirks, kicks her and walks away freely

He thinks he's superior, he thinks he won

"I am better than you, you filthy Palestinian"

He turns away and laughs even harder than before

She quickly pulls the trigger, and kills him so sweetly

Revenge, she wanted, and her eyes start to tear again.

He shouts, and he hollers "pain in my side"

The little girl is happy, but looking down, her face is filled with remorse.

She tries again to wake her mom, 

Getting no pulse, no breathing, no smile. 

She is about to let go of her dead mothers hand,

When her mother squeezes her hand for what felt like a lifetime.

Finally, the little girl turns away, looking for a place to bury her mother

When a soldier walks by and witnesses this horrid scene

He quickly pulls out his gun, and shoots the little girl down

She tries to crawl away, but BOOM, it fires again.

Modern Day Slavery

Imagine yourself as a slave
Living in a dark cave.
The master is like a beast
Beating you and violence increased. .

The cave is dark as sky in midnight,
And the exist is not within sight.
Imagine your self in that cave your trapped
And fear like a fist your body snapped.
No rescuer would help even the brave.
Imagine that birth you gave
Because  by the master you were raped
And death is a penality if you escaped.
Imagine that your child was left to die
Would the eyes stop their cry?

In Mauritania, a women we can't see
Is being enslaved, yet without a fee.
Her face resembles sympathy,
But few cared and others responded with apathy.
She is one of many,
So I want you to help with even a penny.
Put yourself in their place
And their struggles imagine that you face.
If it touched your heart
Do something before slavery breaks them apart.

The people in Somalia

Our country is a country like no other
We were discriminated from the start and left to rot
As if we were born in this world without a cause
I know god created all of us for a purpose
But it's hard to fullfill that purpose when our country can't serve us
We live in an environment full of life threatening diseases
Diseases such as malaria, aids, HIV, and many others
Our country doesn't provide us with decsent resources
Our water is like sewage, we barely have food to feed ourselves, and our country isn't modernized enough for us to live in
My people die everyday due to diseases
Babies, children, and adults don't have the neccessary medical health care to survive these diseases
Looking at countries near us and around the world,
They have a more descent style of living
They have everything and we don't or a little better
Why can't anyone provide us with something we can live our lives on with?
At least something that can help our country survive
You have everything and we have nothing
Have the heart to provide us with your care
Help us! or there wouldn't be anyone to help anymore

Voice Poem

The Truth Hurts

I cower in the corner,

Alone.

Tears so fierce,

Again.

She's coming,

Coming to get me.

I hear the footsteps,

Quiet.

Hushed clacking,

Heels.

I am afraid,

Afriad of her.

She appears,

In front of me.

Breathe.

Her face unreadable,

Breathe.

What will she do?

A resounding SMACK,

Painful inhale.

Hand against head,

Red cheek.

Eyes.

Staring hate

In to my heart.

"Why?" I whimper.

She turns away.

"Why?" again

Too fast.

I fly,

Up and away,

At the wall,

BAM.

Confusion settles.

Blood.

I am coated,

A drunken presence beside me.

It is her.

I pretend,

Pretend that I am gone.

"I'm so sorry, baby," she whispers.

Silence.

I wish I were dead.

No words can repeal,

The pain I feel,

Remembering,

She is my mother.
